Google will make it easier for companies like Wal-Mart, Unilever and Nestle to track whether suppliers are destroying forests when it unveils a real-time deforestation mapping tool Thursday in DC. The tool will show deforestation as its happening — in detail close enough to show logging roads and tree stands. Bloomberg’s Megan Hughes reports.
